About Korean Air

Established in 1969, Korean Air is one of the top 20 airlines in the world, carrying more than 26 million passengers in 2018. The airline boasts a contemporary fleet of 168 aircraft, conducts more than 460 flights daily, and employs over 20,000 qualified personnel. These flights go to 128 destinations in 45 countries across five continents.
 
The primary lines of business for Korean Air are passenger, cargo, aerospace, catering, and in-flight sales. The Incheon (ICN) International Airport Terminal 2 opened in 2018 and serves as the airline's primary hub.
 
Korean Air is a founding member of the SkyTeam airline partnership, which welcomes 676 million passengers annually on more than 15,445 daily flights, serving 1,036 destinations in 170 countries. SkyTeam currently has 19 members and an alliance was created by the airline. 

Korean Air Baggage Regulations

One complimentary carry-on bag is available to passengers flying in economy. The maximum baggage weight allowed by Korean Air is 12 kilograms.
 
Prestige class passengers are permitted to check up to two bags, with a combined weight limit of 18 kilograms.
 
International checked baggage policies are subject to change based on the city or nation of travel, according to Korean Air.
 
To/From America (except Brazil): 2 free bags in economy class, 2 free bags in a prestige class, and 3 free bags in first class, all with a weight restriction of 32 kg.
 
USA - Brazil: For economy class, there is two complimentary baggage with a combined maximum weight of 23 kilograms. 
 
Brazil - USA in economy class for the Prestige class, there are two free bags with a weight limit of 32 kg, three free bags with a weight limit of 32 kg, and two free bags with a weight limit of 23 kg.
 
For economy class: Asia - Europe/Middle East/Africa/Oceania One free bag that can only weigh 23 kg, two free bags that can only weigh 32 kg for the Prestige class, and three free bags that can only weigh 32 kg for First class.
 
Korea - Asia: For first-class travel One free bag that can only weigh 23 kg, two free bags that can only weigh 32 kg for Prestige class, and three free bags that can only weigh 32 kg for First class.
 
Asian countries: Within Asia, there are the following baggage allowances: 1 free bag up to a weight of 23 kg for economy class, 2 free bags up to a weight of 32 kg for the prestige class, and 3 free bags up to a weight of 32 kg for first class.
 
To/From Economy class: 1 free bag with a maximum weight of 23 kg; Prestige class: 2 free bags with a maximum weight of 32 kg; First class: 3 free bags with a maximum weight of 32 kg.

How do passengers change flight dates, times, and destinations?
 
Here are the steps to modify the time, date, or location of your flight online:
  • Go to KoreanAir.com's home page.
  • Choose to find trips.
  • You'll see the following page on your screen:
  • Reservation number or ticket number
  • Departure day
  • First, middle, and last name
  • Select the Search icon.
  • Choose the flight you want to modify.
  • Change your flight by following the instructions.
  • You must pay the necessary fare difference and reissue fees (if any).
  • Your registered email address will be where you receive your new e-ticket.

Korean Airlines Cancellation Policy 

The Korean Air 24-hour cancellation feature was developed with travelers in mind. Due to this policy, all ticket types are available for cancellations. When a passenger cancels an airline ticket one day after making a reservation, this rule or feature applies to them. The travelers will avoid having to pay any revocation fees to the airline by doing this.
 
The following list includes some of the 24-hour policy guidelines:
  • A traveler must also keep a gap of seven days from the departure date to benefit from free cancellation.
  • You are entitled to a full refund after canceling an aircraft ticket if both of the aforementioned conditions are met.
  • You will receive the points as a refund for tickets bought with points that Korean Air cancels within 24 hours of your booking. The flyers can use these points for upcoming flights.
  • If you cancel your reservation for awarded tickets within the specified time frame, there will be no reimbursement given to you.
Korean Refund Policy
 
Passengers can go for online and offline Korean refunds. Usually, the refund takes 7 to 10 days to reflect in the bank account. They will get full guidance from the live representative if they want a refund from the airline. 
Travelers need to cancel the ticket within 24 hours of the booking if they want a full refund from Korean Airlines. 
  • Passengers have to dial the Korean Airlines customer support number to ask for a refund. 
  • Don’t miss to press “My Trips.”
  • You have to enter the details like passengers’ names and booking numbers. 
  • You have to choose Thai airways ticket for the refund. 
  • Choose “Request refund”/“Track refund.”
  • You can’t submit the form without filling out Thai Airways. 
  • In the end, you will receive a message or an email on the registered number or email id regarding the Thai Airways refund.
